Many Olympians use the event for conditioning.Some famous athletes have won. Paul Crake is a 4 time winner. He is a world mountain champion and has won the Rialto Stair Chase and is a record holder for the empire State Building Chase. Greg Mandile has won the Otway Classic. Lavinia Petrie, another joint winner has held the Australasian record for the 50 mile, 50 km, 30 mile, 40 mile and also the 6 hour event.

The run is for all ages. ..... Trophies for all divisions if numbers suffice from... under 15 to 65 plus.
